Dr. Daniel Jean is the CEO of Wordstravel LLC and serves as Associate Provost at Montclair State University. He has twice graced the cover of Diverse Issues in Higher Education and was recently featured on PBS NewsHour for his role in improving outcomes for black and latino identified males. He is the founder of “PhinisheD/FinishEdD #WhoGotNext” an online community for over 24,000 future doctors and has presented 700+ seminars/keynotes for corporations and professional associations including McDonalds, PSE&G, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA), Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange (CSRDE), National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE), Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and the Southern Regional Educational Board (SREB). He is the author of three indie books including his latest publication, “I Am…I Will…” an action-based interactive framework designed for the reader to proclaim their identity, declare their desired outcomes in the present and develop time-referenced action plans for the future. Dr. Jean serves on the board for the three doctors foundation and has received several accolades for his work include citations from the NJ and NY legislature, Educator of the Year Awards from Zeta Phi Beta Incorporated and Uprising Stars LLC, the ACPA Educational Excellence Erica Holloman Award, Alumni Award from Montclair State University and DEI Trailblazer Award from the African-American and NJ Chamber of Commerce. Lee’s father, a cab driver, taught her to play the guitar at age seven and they would sing together while she rode around town with him in his taxi going on calls. “My Daddy, who named me Brenda Lee after the amazing country singer, would always tell me one day you will be playing at the Grand Ole Opry and from that point on I knew I wanted to be a performer.”

Heavily influenced by legendary musicians like Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, The Judds Lorrie Morgan Susan Tedischi and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lee’s personal sound is a mix between traditional Country and raspy Blues with an added Southern Rock flare.

When Lee was 20 years old, she joined a couple of bands and taught herself to play the drums. She travelled to New York City and had the privilege of singing backup for Artimus Pyle, Leslie Hawkins and JoJo Billingsly – three original members of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

In 2020, Lee won “Vocalist of the Year” at the Josie Music Awards. Her 2021 EP Undamaged, which she wrote, won “EP Album of the year” at Josie Music Awards and also Top 20 Best of 2021 for Women of Country. Lee’s newest full length album UNLEESHED, was released April, 2022. Lee wrote 9 of the songs on it. She won “Album of the year” at the Josie Music Awards show that was held at The Grand Ole Opry. She also was nominated for Song of the year with Carolina, and Artist of the year for Women of Country Best of 2022. UNLEESHED has artist Leona Williams, Pam Tillis, Lee Roy Parnell, Mike Rogers & Tim Watson appear on it.

Abigail Benz was crowned Miss Rodeo Arkansas 2023 at Kay Rodgers Park in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Daughter of Stacy and Colonel Edward J Benz III, she was born in Oklahoma, learned to ride horses in North Carolina, fell in love with rodeo as a young Westernaire in Colorado, and spent her high school years in Georgia. Abigail is a graduate of Auburn University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Global Studies. As an undergraduate, Abigail studied abroad in Italy and completed an internship working to eradicate human trafficking in Nepal. Following graduation, she worked in the professional sports industry where she managed community engagement and foundation operations. Abigail is now a proud resident of the Natural State where she is furthering her education at the University of Arkansas, Abigail manages Glitter N’ Dirt, a brand that sparks empowerment and a passion for the western way of life and operates a western boutique in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Abigail is excited to continue to promote her platform, Cowgirl Courage, a registered nonprofit organization. The mission of Cowgirl Courage is to educate and empower everyone to “Speak Up, Stand Up, and Saddle Up” with courage in any situation. She supports advocacy centers that work to prevent injustices including human trafficking, bullying and increased suicide rates in Veterans from happening by inspiring a generation of confident and courageous cowboys and cowgirls. Abigail has a passion for helping others achieve their fullest potential and biggest dreams despite any obstacle life throws their way.

In the future, Abigail plans to attend a top tier law school with a joint MBA program. She hopes to continue to make a significant impact on the lives of men, women and children around the world through both Cowgirl Courage and Glitter N’ Dirt. Abigail is a lifelong equestrian who will continue to spend hours in the saddle barrel racing, roping and riding with her family on Glitter N’ Dirt Ranch.

As Miss Rodeo Arkansas 2023, Abigail will aid and promote the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the rodeo, equine and agricultural industries that encompass the western way of life. She will travel nearly 50,000 miles across the United States and will make appearances at rodeos, military installations, schools and clubs creating awareness about the sport of rodeo, as well as empowering everyone to have Cowgirl Courage. Abigail will represent the Natural State at the Miss Rodeo America 2024 Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2023.

She has lived in Nashville for over 50 years and is well known as a Singer and "The Entertainer's Entertainer"!

Dianne started her career in 1970 on the stage of Printers Alley, which lead her to Television and movie roles. She was introduced by Ernest Tubb on her very first performance of "The Grand Ole Opry". This lead to many more Opry appearances. Dianne also performed with George Jones and recorded with Waylon Jennings. She was honored as the winner of the 2019 R.O.P.E. Entertainer of The Year Award.

She currently serves on the Board of The Music City Christian Fellowship.

When you meet Dianne in person, you feel like you have known her for years!

Although Perley is not a native of the south, his love of country music and it's legends like Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and Loretta Lynn quickly led young Curtis to make the move to Nashville, TN in 1988. Perley quickly made a name for himself and earned the reputation of being a well versed and skilled steel and dobro player that became highly sought after by some of country music's biggest names such as: Loretta Lynn, Connie Smith, Johnny Paycheck, Del Reeves, Becky Hobbs, Holly Dunn, The Reno Brothers, Trace Adkins, and Charlie Louvin.

Perley states that "All of his greatest accomplishments happened after he moved to Nashville."

As a tribute to the "cowgirl way of doing things" we had the distinct opportunity to sit down and chat with Amberley Snyder just in time for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and the International Professional Rodeo Association IFR 52'!

Many of you may recognize Amberley Snyder from the critically acclaimed Netflix film, "Walk, Ride, Rodeo" which is based off a true story about her journey from, what seemed to be the worst tragedy of a lifetime, to the greatest victory of a lifetime!

"On January 10th, 2010 Amberley was on her way to the Denver Stock Show and Rodeo. As she was passing through Sinclair, WY she took a look down at her map. After only seconds she looked up and realized she had faded into the other lane, headed towards a metal beam. In an effort to get back in her lane, Amberley overcorrected. Her truck slid off the road and rolled and she was ejected from the vehicle. She was slammed into a fence post that broke her back and immediately she lost feeling in her legs.

After five hours of emergency surgery the doctor’s prognosis was she would never regain use or feeling below her waist. He told her if she had worn her seatbelt, she would still have use of her legs. The one mistake she made that day changed her life forever, but it has not defeated her competitive spirit. The top priority for Amberley was not even to walk, but to ride her horses again. Remarkably after only 4 months after the accident, she was back on her horse." (Reference: www.amberleysnyder.org)

Since then, Amberley continues to exhibit the true cowgirl attitude and spirit by continuing to ride, rodeo, schedule speaking engagements across the nation, hosting her highly anticipated and viewed "Wheel Chair Wednesday's" videos on Facebook, starting her own Foundation, and serving as an inspiration to others around the world!

Only five years after pivoting from gymnastics to aerial ski, Dani created history as the first and only Alabamian to make the United States Ski & Snowboard Team. As a world-ranked aerial athlete, she has amassed recognition at the highest levels of competition around the world, including the NorAm Cup, World Cup, U.S. Nationals & Junior Nationals, European Cup and more.

Dani's evolution to aerial skier was rapid. She spent one year in development learning how to ski. Then, from 2017-2019 traversed an array of aerial competitions and achieved numerous titles and podiums. Despite a minor knee injury in 2019, Dani relocated to Park City, Utah – the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team's official training site – and earned her historic place on the national aerial ski squad.
