Keep Your Nose to the Grindstone and Eyes on the Rhinestones... a phrase and platform written by Kaelanne as she was preparing for the 57th Annual Miss Rodeo USA competition... so what does it mean? Exaclty what it says. If you focus on your dreams and keep your nose to the grindstone and eyes on the rhinestones (a.k.a. YOUR DREAM) you can accomplish anything.
\n\nThis struck me as an ah ha moment during the 2024 MRUSA competition and I knew, we had to chat about this! - Jessie Lynn®
\n\nOn January 14, 2024, Kaelanne Quinonez was crowned YOUR Miss Rodeo USA 2024 at the Lazy E Arena during the 54th performance of the International Finals Rodeo. A Sunday she will never forget, Kaelanne is excited and proud to carry the title of Miss Rodeo USA for a year, promoting the IPRA and MRUSA organizations and advocating for rodeo and ag across the country.
\n\nKaelanne is no stranger to horses and all things cowgirl, she was born and raised on the Central Coast of California, where she fell in love with horses at the age of 4. Her mom and dad soon found out that this love of horses and all things cowgirl was in fact not a phase and that it was a passion that was as organic and unexpected as the path she would take to Miss Rodeo USA many years later. Kaelanne and her family experienced a lot of firsts together: first horse which turned into horses, first show, first IFR, and first rodeo queen titles. Kaelanne could not be representing the organization and sharing her passion for the west like she is today without the support of her fireteam at home.
\n\nShe left her hometown when she was accepted into Texas A&M as a Master’s student, where she spent a year studying ecohydrology and the effects of drought on ranches in west Texas and where she graduated with her M.S. in Business. This proud Aggie wants to use her education and first hand experiences to promote rodeo, agriculture, and western from coast to coast, preserving traditions and promoting the future. During her year as Miss Rodeo USA, Kaelanne plans to do this by traveling to rodeos in the US and Canada, speaking at schools, town halls and conferences, and using social media to promote the sponsors of and the sport of rodeo.
\n\nRodeo is a team sport: a team between roughstock and rider, sponsor and contestants, the organization and fans. Rodeo queening is a team sport. In fact, all aspects of the western industry require team effort and collaboration. Kaelanne is excited to be a contributing part of this team, of a family that makes America special and unique. She knows, and wants to share the message, that when teams put their nose to the grindstone, everyone benefits and can keep their eyes to their dreams (or rhinestones). - Bio Provided by the Miss Rodeo USA Association

Welcome to a SPECIAL EDITION of the Be a Dreamcather Podcast!
\n\nAs a tribute to the "cowgirl way of doing things" we had the distinct opportunity to sit down and chat with Amberley Snyder just in time for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and the International Professional Rodeo Association IFR 52'!
\n\nMany of you may recognize Amberley Snyder from the critically acclaimed Netflix film, "Walk, Ride, Rodeo" which is based off a true story about her journey from, what seemed to be the worst tragedy of a lifetime, to the greatest victory of a lifetime!
\n\n"On January 10th, 2010 Amberley was on her way to the Denver Stock Show and Rodeo. As she was passing through Sinclair, WY she took a look down at her map. After only seconds she looked up and realized she had faded into the other lane, headed towards a metal beam. In an effort to get back in her lane, Amberley overcorrected. Her truck slid off the road and rolled and she was ejected from the vehicle. She was slammed into a fence post that broke her back and immediately she lost feeling in her legs.
\n\nAfter five hours of emergency surgery the doctor’s prognosis was she would never regain use or feeling below her waist. He told her if she had worn her seatbelt, she would still have use of her legs. The one mistake she made that day changed her life forever, but it has not defeated her competitive spirit. The top priority for Amberley was not even to walk, but to ride her horses again. Remarkably after only 4 months after the accident, she was back on her horse." (Reference: www.amberleysnyder.org)
\n\nSince then, Amberley continues to exhibit the true cowgirl attitude and spirit by continuing to ride, rodeo, schedule speaking engagements across the nation, hosting her highly anticipated and viewed "Wheel Chair Wednesday's" videos on Facebook, starting her own Foundation, and serving as an inspiration to others around the world!
\n\nWant to know how she does all of it? Dive on in to the ninth episode of the Be A Dreamcatcher Podcast now!

David’s documented field experience in astronomy, paleontology, and archaeology has made him an in-demand speaker with expert knowledge and his powerful and inspirational delivery makes learning about Bible history and science fun and easy for audiences of all ages.
\n\nDavid’s weekly TV show “Creation in the 21st Century” airs to millions globally on TBN. He is a weekly news columnist on science and the Bible, and is author of the books “Wonders Without Number” and “Bible Knows Best.”
\nFeatured on the History Channel, and heard on talk radio, David’s exciting life and world travels are documented on his ministries’ active Facebook page http://facebook.com/DavidRivesMinistries
One of his favorite activities is to awe audiences with the incredible accounts of discovery, Biblical accuracy, and creation-based science, and show that each person is “wonderfully made” with purpose – a biological miracle from our Designer, not a product of random chance. David appeals to some of the largest Christian church audiences in the country, but also enjoys interacting and sharing the Gospel with those who might be skeptical. He leads discovery tours, keynotes at conferences, and has a rigid filming schedule for his TV show, video series, and more.
\n\nA singer/songwriter as well with Top-40 radio hits, David’s creativity allows him to approach each project he tackles with a unique perspective.

With her sights set on the Olympic stage, 19-year-old Dani Loeb, joins Jessie Lynn on the Be a Dreamcatcher Podcast to talk about her journey to the U.S. Ski Team and how she is making a difference in today's society!
\n\nOnly five years after pivoting from gymnastics to aerial ski, Dani created history as the first and only Alabamian to make the United States Ski & Snowboard Team. As a world-ranked aerial athlete, she has amassed recognition at the highest levels of competition around the world, including the NorAm Cup, World Cup, U.S. Nationals & Junior Nationals, European Cup and more.
\n\nDani's evolution to aerial skier was rapid. She spent one year in development learning how to ski. Then, from 2017-2019 traversed an array of aerial competitions and achieved numerous titles and podiums. Despite a minor knee injury in 2019, Dani relocated to Park City, Utah – the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team's official training site – and earned her historic place on the national aerial ski squad.
